In the second quarter of 2024, the Maps and Navigation category on the Android platform in Kenya saw notable activity among its top apps. Based on data from Sensor Tower, here’s a breakdown of the performance trends for the top 5 apps.

Faras - Request a Ride experienced a fluctuating but overall declining trend in weekly downloads, starting the quarter with approximately 115K downloads and ending with around 38.5K. Despite this fluctuation, active users showed resilience, starting at 345K and ending the quarter with a slight increase to 333K.

Bolt: Request a Ride had a relatively stable download trend, beginning at about 25K downloads and closing the quarter with nearly 16K. Active users fluctuated, peaking mid-quarter at around 236K and ending at approximately 229K.
